Présent composé (2026)
Karl Lemieux and Marie-Douce St-Jacques have been collaborating on film screenplays for several years. Their love of music and cinema gave rise to Présent composé. They share a common desire to shape their material: Lemieux through film footage that is projected, manipulated, and transformed in real time; St-Jacques through semi-improvised compositions on the electronic organ. At the heart of their approach lies a fascination with the slow movement of matter and its transition from one medium to another.
