By acquiring the building on Legendre Street, Les Ateliers Belleville secured the long-term future of creation spaces that are accessible and adapted to the realities of artists and makers. From this vision came LAB545, a vast space of more than 55,000 square feet dedicated to creation, fabrication, presentation, and encounters between artistic practices, technical knowledge, and communities.
Conceived as a living and collective space, LAB545 brings together artist studios, specialized production spaces, presentation areas, and shared spaces that support exchange, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. This project marks an important step for Montreal’s cultural community and for the development of an independent, accessible, and sustainable creative ecosystem.
It is now time to celebrate the opening of this new space. Les Ateliers Belleville invites the general public and the artistic community to discover its spaces on June 11, 12, and 13, 2026.
The program includes a members’ exhibition, guided tours of the facilities, open workshops, meetings with artists, special activities, and audiovisual performances presented in collaboration with the SIGHT+SOUND Festival. It is an opportunity to discover this new space for creation and to celebrate its opening together.
