Open Stone (2026)
Open Stone is an exploration of noise through the interaction of Anne Dahl’s sculptures and Elizabeth Johnson’s weavings, producing textures and sounds. The term “open stone” derives from the lithography process, central to the material practices of both artists.

Milkbag is an experimental sound project led by multidisciplinary artists Anne Dahl and Elizabeth Johnson. Drawing from their respective material practices — silversmithing and weaving — they use both art objects and instruments to explore this relational synergy. Volatile and slightly unsettled, their mostly improvised sets produce textures, noise, and atmospheric drones with hormonal undertones.
